Gill Scriven

Painter and Printmaker

Having had a varied career, including some children’s book illustration and working with primary aged children teaching art and drama, I now concentrate on my painting working mainly in oils, but occasionally in gouache. I also make lino prints, both monochrome and coloured. I like to work direct from the subject, still life and landscape, although I have used photographs occasionally, particularly for large pieces.

I trained at Plymouth College of Art, made a brief foray into embroidery at Goldsmiths School of Art and obtained Dip AD at Wimbledon School of Art, specializing in painting and printmaking.

Images of my work may be found on the Visual Art Network website: visualartnetwork.org.uk
