FAQs

For interested artists

The 2019 event will be taking place over two weekends – June 8th/9th and 15th/16th – in and around the town centre.  Even though the event is yet to happen, you can still visit artists to see their work by contacting them individually to arrange a visit at a mutually agreed time.  Their contact details can be found on the artist's pages.
If you'd like to take part, then you need to have signed up and submitted your work by the 11th January 2017 in order to be included in the printed literature promoting the event. Here's where you sign up…
Yes, this is a requirement for artists joining Shrewsbury Open Studios.
Email tony@shrewsburyopenstudios.co.uk explaining what you would like to change, along with the new text/images.
You should have received an email from us which has a link to the submissions page, keep that email and follow the link when you are ready.

For studio visitors

The 2019 event will be taking place over two weekends – June 8th/9th and 15th/16th – in and around the town centre.  Even though the event is yet to happen, you can still visit artists to see their work by contacting them individually to arrange a visit at a mutually agreed time.  Their contact details can be found on the artist's pages.
When contacting an artist to arrange a visit outside of the Open Studios weekends, please discuss access requirements. Please bear in mind that most venues are studios and working environments for the artists, and as such are not normally open to the public. All the artists will do their best to assist, but some spaces (particularly in old buildings) present insurmountable challenges.
All the artists include a range of contact details as part of their listings on this website.  Alternatively, if you prefer, send us a message telling us which artist you want to contact, and we will forward it to them.
All the artists include details of the dates and times they will be opening their studios in their listings on the Artists' page.
If you wish to visit an artist's studio outside of the times they are participating in the Shrewsbury Open Studios events, please contact them directly to make an appointment.  Many artists will be delighted to see you at other times, but would not want you to be disappointed if they are out or busy if you visit without prior notice.
If you wish to commission an individual piece of work from one of these artists, please contact them directly using the contact details on their page.
