She presents herself as an artist, but before all she is Nathalie Hildegarde “touche-à-tout” or a manifold being.
Nathalie Hildegarde Liege grew up in the South-East suburbs of Paris. Nathalie studied Fine Arts in Sorbonne where she found great interest in poetry writing, theology or ethnology too. She followed Joseph Beuys’ point of view of “social sculpture” or Andrei Tarkovsky’s idea of “Sculpting in Time” and Louise Bourgeois as well as Cathedrals windows unfolded for real, her love for glass.
She combines her fine art background, in the French capital, with her love of traditional and contemporary stained glass.
She moved over to the UK where she has lived for 22 years. The Worshipful Company of Glaziers & Painters of Glass Journeymans Award 1998-2000. A member of The British Society of Master Glass Painters.
Owner and founder in 1998 of Couleurlive Studio, for Nathalie Hildegarde LIEGE days are ongoing creations.
Applying to her artwork a scheme of technical and aesthetical research inspired by many skills.
