One-off and prototype pieces. Furniture for domestic and public clients.
I worked mainly with wood, but also use leather, stone, metal etc. when appropriate. I like to think of myself as a designer solving practical problems, but there is my enjoyment in producing the work and, I hope, a twinge of pleasure for the user/viewer as well.
So I play with structure and with colour, and produce some pieces with no useful function at all – like the ‘painted column’ series represented in the exhibition – and the occasional photo.
